Dual Inlet Mufflers Installation

Congratulations! You have purchased THE lightest best built dual inlet muffler for your 1965-1989 Porsche 911. Installation and operation were designed to be very simple with only metric wrenches needed. Please check our website, MKExhaust.com, e-mail or call if you have questions or need assistance.

Note: This procedure applies to all Dual Inlet Mufflers

Screw driver, 17mm wrenches and 11mm nut driver is all you need to install the MKM34ST muffler shown. On this muffler the tailpipes slide on and are secured with a set screw. Install one 17M bolt loose to begin.

Push muffler up and install 17M bolt loose on opposite flange. With muffler hanging from two bolts install muffler clamps loose. One at a time pull the 17M bolts out, install gaskets, then install remaining 17M bolts.

Leave the 17M bolts/nuts loose. Install and tighten muffler straps to point where they are snug only, these are constant tension clamps, do not over tighten. Lastly tighten the M17 bolts a little each bolt until all are evenly tight. Re-check all after a few heat cycles and tighten as needed. Replacement gaskets and hardware are available should you need to replace anything. Enjoy!
